As we know, the sun is particularly generous on the Balearic Islands. This makes it all the more valuable when a country house not only radiates cosiness inside, but can also offer a varied outdoor area including shady terraces. Accordingly, Villa Son Cosme Pons can confidently be described as a multi-faceted gem that offers a successful blend of natural charm and refined elegance over and above the usual comforts. After entering the property, which has a real park atmosphere thanks to the many trees, palm trees, flowers and the large lawn area for romping around, you are lured by the shimmering turquoise swimming pool, framed by a stone terrace and two seating areas, each of which offers your skin protection from the sun through the roof. At the edge of the pool, a small bird statue keeps watch in case you fly away yourself. On the covered main terrace, there is a robust brick barbecue area where you can grill a juicy steak or prepare vegetarian stuffed peppers to suit your taste. The warm ochre-coloured façade of the house harmonises with the stone terrace extensions and creates an idyllic connection with the greenery of the climbing plants, which could prompt artistically-minded people to get out their sketchpad to capture this typical Mallorcan still life forever. If you're not a big fan of painting, your memory can certainly do the job, as the villa is impossible to forget.

Both the main house and the guest house have a fireplace, so you can head indoors with your bottle of wine in a cool island breeze in the evening. Design accents combined with unconventional elements create an interior in which everyone feels at home. Son Cosme Pons masters this balancing act skilfully. The ground floor in the main building is a light-flooded area with high ceilings, in which the living, cooking, dining and entertainment areas merge seamlessly into one another. Two bright red sofas stand out among the rustic beams; the zebra-patterned carpet invites you to dream of Africa. There's a good chance that it will still be warm enough for a dip in the cooling pool afterwards. Or you can prepare a refreshing cocktail in the kitchen area. The dark wood tones of some of the furniture harmonise well with the light-coloured wickerwork in the cosy seating area, where you can read a good book or warm up by the fire. The powerful speakers promise a special treat for the ears - there's definitely enough room for dancing! On this floor there is also a guest toilet and a separate laundry room with washing machine, tumble dryer, iron and ironing board. A stylish staircase leads to the upper floor, where the royal-looking palace gate and a no less majestic wooden bench catch the eye. Upstairs you will find two bedrooms that share a bathroom, while the third bedroom has its own bathroom and offers a dressing area as well as access to the balcony. All bedrooms in this house have their own air conditioning! Even more privacy is offered by the complete guest house, where you can also live, cook, eat and enjoy life to the full.

The south of Mallorca exerts a magnetic attraction on people who understand the art of enjoying life due to its fantastic landscape: Beautiful natural beaches and romantic coves such as Cala Figuera and Cala Llombards are strung together like pearls on a necklace as you drive a quarter of an hour along the long coastal strip of the municipality of Santanyí. You can reach the 700-year-old coastal town, which is just 2.5 kilometres from the finca, even quicker. An authentic character with a twice-weekly market, the best shopping facilities, cosy cafés and restaurants invite you to linger. You can also visit the fishing village of Cala Figuera, 5 kilometres away, where the fishing boats return home in the late afternoon with their fresh catch. Just one kilometre away, the Parc natural de Mondragó nature reserve offers nature lovers and birdwatchers several hiking and cycling trails and the opportunity to enjoy the same tranquillity away from civilisation that you can enjoy at the villa. Villa Son Cosme Pons is located just a stone's throw from the beautiful Mondragó Nature Park in the south-east of Mallorca in a very peaceful, 22,000 m² natural garden. Just 2.5 km away is the small town of Santanyí, which is known for its good infrastructure and where you can choose between numerous shops, supermarkets, restaurants and bars. Several idyllic bays such as Cala Santanyí, Cala Llombards and the double bay of Mondragó/S'Amarador can be reached in just fifteen minutes by car.
