Alpine Lodge 4-Bed Apartment - Chesa a la Punt / "free mountain railway transport" in summer

In December 2016, we set up our third house, the Chesa a la Punt. The new wooden lodge is connected to the neighboring building, the ALPINE LODGE Chesa al Parc, and is also situated at the edge of the big Saratz Park in Pontresina - at attractive, sunny location right in the centre of the village.
In the Chesa da la Punt there are four spacious apartments: three apartments for four persons (2 bedrooms) and one apartment for two persons (1 bedroom). All bedrooms have a private bathroom, each with bath / shower.
At the on-site spa, guests have access to our sauna, steam room and massage room. A connecting passage leads to the relaxation area and gym in the adjoining Chesa al Parc with direct access to the outside area with wooden deck, beach chairs, cushions and outdoor shower. Also available: a parking garage with four charging stations for electric vehicles.
The Pontresina promenade, with its numerous restaurants, shops, a cinema, a children’s playground and the Bellavita Waterpark and Spa, is located right at the doorstep. The Upper Engadine’s comprehensive range of sports, leisure and cultural activities are just a stone’s throw away.
Specialization: family-friendly and bike-friendly

Excursion possibilities: What mountains. What lakes. What light! Whether on the 580km (360 miles) of hiking paths strewn over all the mountains or by mountain bike along 400km (250 miles) of fabulous trails: the Upper Engadin offers a superb network of paths and trails amidst an unspoilt Alpine landscape and the inspiring lake plateau. Three flow trails on the Corviglia guarantee a perfect flow. Equally popular among sports enthusiasts are the Upper Engadin lakes; kiting, sailing, windsurfing, stand up paddling – the possibilities are virtually endless. The expanse of the inspiring high-lying valley can be experienced in a particularly striking way on the two 18-hole golf courses in Samedan and Zuoz. And besides the wide range of sporting options, visitors can take advantage of the first-class cultural activities on offer, such as a visit to a museum or to one of the numerous art galleries in the various villages.
In winter, the ski areas of Corviglia, Corvatsch, Diavolezza and family-friendly Zuoz invite ski and snowboard enthusiasts to revel in 350 kilometres (218 miles) of the finest powder snow. Cross-country skiers will find over 220km (137 miles) of perfectly groomed trails in the Upper Engadin and the side valleys. The winter hiking paths and cross-country ski trails on the frozen Upper Engadin lakes are characterised by their light, sunshine and space amidst inspiring Alpine scenery. Those who would like to enjoy the tranquillity and beauty of the snow-covered forests can explore the side valleys of Val Roseg, Val Fex or Val Bever on 150 kilometres (90 miles) of winter hiking paths. Visitors who prefer to have everything in view, meanwhile, will delight in the breathtaking vistas on the panorama hiking trails high above the lakes on Muottas Muragl.
Families can bask in the Engadin sun during a ride in a horse-drawn carriage into the Val Roseg or Val Fex, or race down the mountainside into the valley on the winding, 4.2km (2.6 mile) long toboggan run on Muottas Muragl.

Traditional Engadin houses and elegant hotel buildings dating from the Belle Epoque era characterise this high-lying, sunny, wind-protected resort. Nestling against a spectacular backdrop of majestic mountain peaks – including the highest one in the Eastern Alps, the Piz Bernina – Pontresina is a popular departure point for mountaineers, rock climbers and hikers all the year round. However, culture lovers, romantics and bon vivants, too, will find a host of gems in and around Pontresina – such as a ride in a horse-drawn carriage into the contrast-rich Val Roseg or a trip into the South on the Bernina Express. In winter, countless inspiring cross-country skiing routes and picturesque winter hiking paths through the enchanting landscape are a treat for all the senses. The Diavolezza ski area, a particular favourite among freeriders, is just a short distance away. In summer, discoverers can explore the largest colony of ibex in Switzerland, while the new Bernina Glaciers adventure territory allows visitors to experience the fascinating world of glaciers at close quarters.

    “Insgesamt eine tolle Wohnung. Positiv: Die Wohnung ist sehr modern und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Die Aussicht auf den Park ist sehr schön. Die Nähe zum Wanderweg ins Rosegtal ist praktisch. Aufgrund der Terassen vor und links des Hauses hat man den ganzen Tag Sonne. Der Wellnessbereich ist ebenfalls sehr schön und von 15.00 Uhr bis 21.00 in Betrieb. Negativ: Die beiden Strassen welche links vom Haus durchführen (Brücke Zufahrt Pontresina und Strasse zum Berninapass), sind auf dem Balkon und in einem der Schlafzimmer bei geöffnetem Fenster gut hörbar aber erträglich. Wer lärmempfindlich ist, sollte besser eine Wohnung in der nebenan liegenden Chesa al Parc wählen. Beste Reisezeit: Es ist immer schön im Engadin! Natur: Forest, lake, mountains - Pontresina liegt nahe an den drei Seen des Engadins und ist wunderschön für alle möglichen Otdoor-Aktivitäten. Obwohl es in den Bergen liegt,
    können auch Wanderungen ohne grosse Steigungen gemacht werden. Ideal also auch für ältere Personen oder kleinere Kinder.”

    “Aufenthalt war sehr angenehm,
    da geschmackvolle Räumlichkeiten und stilvolle Einrichtung den Rahmen für Entspannung gaben. Trotz aller Annehmlichkeiten sollte man schmerzfrei bezüglich dem hohen Mietpreis und den anfallenden Nebenkosten sein. Positiv: Stilvolle Einrichtung mit Wohlfühleffekt. Neuwertige ansprechende Literaturauswahl aus der Region im Bücherregal vorhanden. Negativ: Superintelligentes Hightech -WC: absolut unnötig und mit technischen Tücken....”
