This pet-friendly vacation home for 4 adults and 2 children is located on the former island of Wieringen in the town of Hippolytushoef. The rural location with panoramic views makes this a real top location. The house has recently been completely renovated and carefully furnished by the homeowner. The house is completely on the first floor and spatially divided. The kitchen is fully equipped and has a toaster. There are two spacious bedrooms with two double beds. The winter garden, where you can relax, is equipped with a sofa bed, where you can sleep six people. From the conservatory you have access to the spacious terrace where you can enjoy the peace and quiet.
From the vacation home you can also visit the town of Den Helder with some beautiful sights such as Fort Kijkduin and the Marine Museum. From Den Helder you can take a boat to the island of Texel. At a distance of about 25 km is the North Sea coast. Some cozy seaside resorts on the North Sea coast with beautiful, wide sandy beaches are Julianadorp and Callantsoog. The town of Schagen is about 23 km away. Here you will find many stores and restaurants. Amsterdam is about 70 km away. The IJsselmeer, the Afsluitdijk and the Amstelmeer are about 6 km away. In spring the bulb fields around Wieringen are in bloom. In Hippolytushoef there are several restaurants and supermarkets.

    “Wir fanden ein äußerst liebevoll gepflegtes und sauberes Haus vor, in dem sich alles in einem sehr guten Zustand befand. Das Haus selbst ist geräumig und sinnvoll eingeteilt, sodass wir uns mit unseren beiden Hunden angenehm breit machen konnten. Ein großer uneinsehbarer Außenbereitch mit dazugehörigem Garten machte den Aufenthalt schließlich perfekt. Der Garten bietet eine große Rasenfläche und ist komplett eingezäunt (ca. 150cm hoch), was ihn für alle nicht sehr kleinen Hunde absolut ausbruchssicher macht.
    Die Einrichtung des Hauses selbst ist unseres Erachtens absolut angemessen und ausreichend: eine zunächst von uns eher belächelte bebilderte Anleitung zur Bedienung einiger Alltagsgeräte (z.B. des Ofens) stellte sich letztendlich doch als nützlich heraus, da manche der Geräte doch einen Kniff beherbergten. Lediglich ein Gefrierfach vermissten wir etwas.
    Wir empfehlen diese Wohnung wärmstens jedem Paar und jeder Familie, die explizit eine Unterkunft für sich und ihre 1-2 Hunde sucht und sich etwas vom Tourismus entfernen will. Ein Hundekörbchen ist im Übrigen vorhanden.
    Auch der Kontakt zu den Vermietern war wunderbar offen und sehr herzlich.”
